The Sri Lanka Pavilion at Expo Osaka 2025 continues to attract large crowds as its popularity grows among Japanese and international visitors. Riding on this popularity, the Sri Lanka pavilion successfully conducted a series of Seminars on Ceylon Tea, Spices, and Ayurveda to promote Sri Lankan products and services and enhance the visitors' experience.

The seminars were conducted by the staff of the Sri Lanka pavilion with the support of resource personnel from Nelsons Tea Ltd, Mind Reading Japan Ltd., and Samurai Lanka Trading Ltd which are companies run by Sri Lankans living in Japan. The seminars are further intended to share the rich culture and history of Sri Lanka and to build a bridge between Sri Lanka and Japan. Presentations, speeches, and Q&A sessions were conducted during these seminars along with playing videos such as the historic Speech delivered by the late former President J.R. Jayawardene during the San Francisco Peace Conference held in 1951 to strengthen the relationship between the two countries.

As the official partner of Expo 2025, the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB), holds the responsibility of arranging activities of the Sri Lanka Pavilion alongside other key government institutions including the Sri Lanka Embassy in Japan, Export Development Board, Ministry of Trade & Commerce, National Gem and Jewelry Authority and other government bodies. Further, it is expected to leverage this global platform to promote Sri Lanka's diverse tourism offerings worldwide. The Pavilion will position "Sri Lanka" as an attractive destination for global travelers, highlighting its pristine beaches, cultural heritage, wellness experiences, and eco-tourism potential to the anticipated 28 million visitors to the exhibition from 13th April to 13th October 2025.

Throughout this period of six months, the visitors can experience the famed Ceylon Tea at the Tea counter, offering from the island’s seven tea-growing regions. The Pavilion also features signature products of Sri Lanka including coconut-based goods, spices, handicrafts, wellness, and Ayurveda. In line with these activities, the Pavilion will also host cultural performances, B2B meetings, investor forums, and promotional events on ayurveda, tea, gem, jewelry & spices to highlight Sri Lanka’s strengths in trade, tourism, and human capital.

All participant countries were dedicated to a day at the expo to celebrate their country and Sri Lanka to celebrated the Sri Lanka day on 27th September 2025. Special performances involving artists and performers from Sri Lanka were featured at this off-one event in Expo Osaka 2025 in Japan.
