Free City Tour for the guests staying in Colombo City Hotels

Colombo is an interesting and colourful tapestry of many races, religions and cultures and a city that showcases a wonderful colonial heritage blended in its many moods. Known as ‘Kolon thota’ , the native name of the city meaning ‘port’ it became ‘Colombo’ with the advent of the colonial rulers to the island. With a rapidly changing skyline it is indeed a unique city of ‘old and new’ that is swiftly unfolding into a spectacular tourist destination in the region.

The Prime Minister's office has organized a cultural event which is scheduled to be held on every Friday from 20^th July 2018 at the Independent Arcade at 7.00 PM onward. For the inaugural session, there will be a free City Tour for tourists, who are staying in Colombo city hotels.

Plickup Hotels (Marine Drive) : Ozo , Mirage , Lazaani & Global Towers

Other Hotels : GSH (Wellawatte), Renuka, Galle Face Hotel, Ramada, Kingsbury, Hilton, Galdari, Taj & Shangri La. Any guests from nearby hotels will be picked up from above venues to save time.

The Colombo City Tour will be happy to include this colourful event as a highlight in it's Friday city tour.
