Sri Lankan Cultural dances have been endorsed by various global artists due to its glamour, tradition and vibrant postures. These glamorous dancers have been acquired a substantial mindshare among the tourists who have experienced Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan Dancer has an impressive pulse in creating a classic, unique and authentic experience for their spectators with the power of dance carried forward by generation to generation.

Western Province Cultural Resort is an institution established aiming at the promotion and enhancement of cultural and art activities of Sri Lanka. They are planning to launch daily dancing evenings for foreign guests and tourists from 01st December onwards in Colombo. The launching ceremony will be held on 29th October 2016 at 4pm in the Western Province Aesthetic Resort Auditorium with free entrance tickets.

WPCR has been established to develop a proud and righteous community enriched with taste and heritages of local culture and art, which appreciates the morals and lives with coexistence. This will direct people towards spiritual and economic development whilst living with coexistence, dignity and satisfaction. This programme can be identified as a successful beginning of promoting and publicizing heritages of local culture and art formed according to the local traditions while making them as a part of the life.

Western Province Aesthetic Resort has been declared by the Gazette Extra Ordinary of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka No. 1932/70 dated Friday, September 18th, 2015 as an Authority belonging to the Ministry of Education, Cultural and Arts Affairs, Sports and Youth Affairs and Information Technology of the Western.
