Sri Lanka tourism promotion bureau organized the press conference at the ITB 2016 in Berlin today ( 10th of March ). It was very well attended event with the participation of the press & media from all over Europe. The panel consisted ofHon John Amarathunga, Minister of Tourism Development & Christian Religious Affairs - Sri Lanka, H E KarunatilakaAmunugama, Ambassador, Embassy of Democratic Socialist Republic Sri Lanka, Mr P M Withana, Chairman, Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, MrAjith Dias, Chairman, Sri Lankan Air lines, MrDevindreSenaratne, President, Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO), Mr M. Shanthikumar, President, Colombo City Hotels Association of Sri Lanka (CCHA). MrRohanAbeywickrama President, Association of Small and Medium Enterprises in Tourism (ASMET).

Minister for Tourism , Land and Christian Religious Affairs spoke on 50 years of collaboration between ITB & Sri Lanka and the fact that Sri Lanka tourism is also celebrating 50years in 2016.He invited the audience to visit Sri Lanka to experiences on offer in our island. Chairman, Sri lanka tourism Promotion Bureau gave a presentation elaborating the xperinces and the product range and the growyh of Sri Lanka tourism. Chairman of Sri Lankan Airlines spoke on the new fleet operating to every major European Airports.

The press actively engaged in a question & answer session &they were very interested on the diversity of the products offered by this Island nation.
