Post Easter Sunday Incident
“MS COSTA NEO CLASSICA”made her graceful port of call at Colombo Port from Maldives, on 5th December 2017. “MS COSTA NEO CLASSICA”belongs to COSTA Cruises and started her journey from Maldives on 2nd December 2017 to Sri Lanka. As per the scheduled, this ship visit to Goa and Mumbai during her journey and back to Maldives.
This vessel carried 1200 passengers and approximately 610 crew members and 600 passengers joined with the excursions to explore selected areas such as Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, visit to Tea Factory in Akuressa, Kelaniya Temple & Colombo City Tour.
Focusing the importance of the above niche segment, Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) has taken initiative to organize Cultural Dance Performances for each Cruise Call, to welcome passengers to Colombo Port, and show our hospitality, and traditional dance performances as a value addition and also to show our cultural value.
The cruise passengers were highly impressed on the cultural dance performances organized by SLTPB during the arrival of the above passenger cruise to Colombo Port, making them experience an unforgettable stop over moment.
