The southernmost point of Sri Lanka is Dondra Head, where the classic white-painted lighthouse was built by the British in 1889. It takes 250 steps to the top, but the view makes every step worthwhile. If you gaze to the south and assuming you could see forever you wouldn’t see a single spot of land until Antarctica.
