Tourism is one of the important tools that could be used to eradicate poverty and uplift socio – economic strata of a nation and its people. The government of Sri Lanka, having defeated terrorism under the patriotic leadership of His Excellency Mahinda Rajapaksa in 2009, is taking giant steps and measures to develop tourism, with total commitment and patronage of Honorable Basil Rajapaksa, Minister of Economic Development.
