The sidewalks of the Rajakeeya Mawatha in Colombo city will showcase Sri Lanka's biggest annual art fair for paintings and sculpture. This highly popular open-art fair attracts a wide cross-section of local artists and sculptors from different social echelons and from all parts of the island.
Having originated in 1993 and presented by the George Keyt Foundation with the partnership of the John Keells Foundation, Kala Pola, in the past has attracted over 25,000 visitors both locally and from abroad. The main purpose of this event is to provide a valuable forum to launch careers of talented artists and sculptors, foster the development of a client base, and thereby promote art as a lucrative and professional career.
Kala Pola is a not to be missed event in Colombo's cultural calendar.
